Jietai supplied PC corrugated sheets for a large factory building roofing project in Jiangsu Province. The facility, covering approximately 8,000 square meters, required a reliable, durable, and cost-effective roofing solution that would provide natural lighting, thermal insulation, and long-term weather protection for manufacturing operations.
The Challenge
The factory building required a roofing material that could span large areas without excessive structural support, provide diffused natural lighting to reduce energy consumption, withstand industrial pollution and chemical exposure common in manufacturing environments, maintain performance across extreme temperature variations from -30°C to +50°C, and offer fire resistance meeting industrial safety standards. Additionally, the installation needed to be completed within a tight 20-day schedule to minimize production downtime.
Our Solution
We recommended Jietai PC corrugated sheets in PC840 profile with advanced UV-resistant coating. The selected sheets featured 2.0mm thickness for enhanced structural integrity, standard 6m length with custom width cutting, class B1 fire rating (GB 8624) for industrial safety compliance, light transmission of 65% in clear grade for optimal factory floor illumination, and a 10-year warranty against UV degradation and impact damage. A total of 3,500 square meters of corrugated sheets were supplied along with all necessary accessories including ridges, flashings, and fasteners.
Results
The factory roofing installation was completed in 18 days, two days ahead of schedule. The PC corrugated roof has performed exceptionally well over 12 months of continuous service. The natural lighting has reduced the factory’s electricity consumption by 35% during daytime operations. Factory workers reported improved visibility and working conditions compared to the previous metal sheet roofing.
